About
IT WAS FATE!
So I had this exciting idea! I wanted to convert a horse trailer into a mobile bar! Apparently I must have had this on my brain for several years, since 2011 actually. I realized this as looked through old Facebook posts and discovered I started liking some of these Horsebox conversations in the UK. They are big in the UK.
Anyway, fast forward to late fall 2018. I started looking for the right horse trailer. In doing so, I got to know my horse trailers quite well. I decided I was looking for a Kingston Bumper Pull. I looked and looked. I started to get really frustrated, either they were really far away from where I live, too old and needed way more work than I wanted to put into it, or out of my price range. So, I decided I didn’t NEED it, I just wanted it. So, I put the idea on the back burner.
One day my husband and I were driving by a nearby home with a barn, horses and......a Kingston Bumper Pull out front. I asked him to stop. I wanted to connect with the owner to see if we could just look at his trailer. My husband wanted to check out the tongue weight, I wanted to look inside. I wanted to see if this was even a feasible vision. We both liked what we saw. I asked the fellow if he happened to know of anyone selling one, older than what he had, but in fairly decent shape. He did! Just two doors down actually. We actually knew the people! My husband worked the the gentleman about 30 years ago. Had commented every time we drove by the house, that he worked with him several years ago, but never sees him. Mind you, we drive by this house all the time. Never have seen this former co-worker, of my husbands, outside. Not this day however! He was actually outside, with his dog! My husband just looked at me and said, “Well if this wasn’t meant to be!” Can’t ignore fate!
So the rest is history. We bought the horse trailer and have successfully converted it. My husband worked tirelessly on it for me. He totally brought my vision to life. I am truly grateful to him for all of his time and energy he put into this.
It’s definitely a unique and quirky Horsebox bar that will work really well in outdoor locations as well as inside (where space allows).
